Ellington at Wachesaw East – From Festiva Resorts

Ellington at Wachesaw Plantation East is located in the heart of the South Carolina low country. This former fishing village is home to pristine beaches and a number of magnificent golf courses and is the "Seafood Capital of South Carolina."
The resort is nestled in an oasis of moss-covered oaks, offering guests a retreat from the high-rise buildings and congestion of the Grand Strand yet all of the glitz and glamour of Myrtle Beach is just minutes away.
This Festiva resort is also home to Wachesaw Plantation East Golf Course, which was designed by Clyde Johnston and offers challenging play for golfers of all skill levels. The course received national exposure as home of the Kathy Ireland City of Hope LPGA Golf Tournament from 1997 through 2000.
Festiva Resorts owners at Ellington receive golf privileges at Wachesaw East and have access to numerous area golf courses for the cost of the cart rental.

Over the past few days we have discovered a variety of seasonal activities and events at two Festiva vacation destinations, Branson, M.O., and St. Augustine, F.L. Today our blog takes a look at Brookgreen Gardens Nights of a Thousand Candles which is located only a few minutes south of the resort, so if you're staying at Ellington be sure to take a peek.
Our busy season is in full swing here at Ellington! We recently hosted the Hancock Group, 75-80 golfers that have visited our resort for the last six years.Don’t forget to check out our new 9-hole Putt Putt course that was recently added. We have putters and balls available for you to use at the front desk!
We are happy to announce that a new feature has been completed at Ellington at Wachesaw Plantation East. Adjacent to the outdoor pool area in front of Phase II a common outdoor area has been landscaped and appointed with picnic tables, several small charcoal grills, a fire pit, a fountain and a large outdoor grill.
Greater Scapes Landscape & Lawn Care of Weaverville, N.C., was hired to complete this project, and they did a fantastic job. The work was completed in less than a month, turning what was previously little more than a patch of grass into a beautiful space that can be enjoyed by all of Ellington's owners and guests whether they want to cook an outdoor meal for the whole family, roast marshmallows and tell stories by the fire pit, or simply relax and enjoy the peaceful fountain.
